EMOP 2024 PRIVACY POLICY

This document constitutes the Privacy Policy of the Polish Parasitological Society, hereinafter referred to as PTP, which is the organizer and host of the 14th European Multicolloquium of Parasitology event (hereinafter referred to as EMOP XIV) and specifies the scope and purposes of processing personal data of persons visiting the EMOP XIV website (https://emop2024wroclaw. eu/) and using the contact form and contains information required by applicable law.

Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable law and the implemented privacy policy

Personal data are processed in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC ( general data protection regulation, called GDPR) and the provisions of Polish law, in particular the Act of May 10, 2018 on the protection of personal data.

Data controller

The administrator of your personal data is the Polish Parasitological Society (Polskie Towarzystwo Parazytologiczne) with its registered office in Warsaw (ul. Twarda 51/55, 00-818 Warsaw), identified by KRS number 0000086133. Data regarding PPS (PTP) are available below.

Type and method of use of personal data processed

PTP processes personal data of people participating in events organized by the Society, including:

– first name and last name
– academic degree/professional title
– affiliation
– e-mail address
– phone number
– image (applies to event participants).

Personal data of persons participating in the EMOP XIV event organized by PTP and recipients of information about this event are processed by the administrator for the purpose of registration and participation in the event organized by PTP (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR) and for the purpose of sending information about an event organized or co-organized by PTP (legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR and Art. 10 of the Act on the provision of electronic services and Art. 172 of the Telecommunications Law (if applicable)).

Personal data of persons visiting the EMOP XIV website and using the contact form will be processed by the data controller in order to answer the questions asked in the form (Article 6(1)(b) and (a). f) GDPR).

Providing data is voluntary but necessary in order to process and answer the questions asked; failure to provide them will make it impossible to answer the submitted questions.

Online registration for the event

The data provided by you when registering on the website will be used to conduct and manage your participation in the event organized by us. Registration is voluntary, but is necessary if you want to participate in the conference.

Data sharing

The data may be made available to state authorities authorized under the law.

Data may also be transferred to processing entities such as entities providing IT services to PTP and events organized by PTP, but only to the extent necessary to provide these services.

Personal data of event members and website visitors and other persons whose personal data are processed by PTP are not transferred to a third country.

Personal data storage period

Personal data of persons participating in an event organized by PTP are processed for the time necessary to handle and settle the event or until consent to the processing of personal data is withdrawn, and may also be stored for the period of limitation of claims.

Rights of persons whose data is processed by PTP

With respect to your personal data, decisions will not be made in an automated manner, pursuant to Art. 22 GDPR. You have:
– the right to obtain from PTP confirmation whether her/his personal data are being processed and the right to access them pursuant to Art. 15 sections 1 and 2 of the GDPR,
– the right to rectify and supplement personal data pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR,
– the right to demand immediate deletion of data if any of the conditions specified in Art. 17 section 1 GDPR,
– the right to request from the administrator to limit the processing of personal data pursuant to Art. 18 section 1 GDPR,
– the right to object to the processing of your personal data;
– the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office if you believe that the processing of personal data violates the provisions of the GDPR.

The administrator is obliged to inform data subjects about the rectification, deletion of personal data or restriction of processing that he has performed.
